The country roads on the north side of town are popular routes for cyclists, and Rocky Mountain National Park is less than an hour away. Every 4th of July brings the annual "Picnic in the Park" with horseshoes and bocce ball. Finally, award-winning Coal Creek Golf Course designed by Dick Phelps is one of the best in the area.
