The Brighton School District serves 7,200 students in elementary, middle school, one alternative high school, two high schools and three charter schools. In response to the growing needs of the new families moving to the area, several new elementary schools are opening, and hundreds of teachers are being added to improve the student to teacher ratio. Renovations have also taken place at existing elementary, middle and Brighton High School buildings.
